ngc 6559 and friends with Explore Scientific 80mm f/6 APO

north is to the left in this frame
This complex is just east of M 8 and might actually be part of the same clouds of hydrogen. The brightest portion,
ngc 6559, is the curved emission nebula that includes the reflection nebula and a group of stars near the center or the image.
ic 4685 is the larger emission area with central star and a cloud of reflection nebula just above and left. ic 1274 and Barnhard 91 ,
with reflection nebulosity are on the left.The big patch running off the top edge is ic 4678 and the brightest star is 11 Sgr.
This place is strewn with other dark nebulae including the intricate Barnhard 303 connecting 6559 and 4685...
the bright cluster at the upper irght is ngc 6554 lots of fun to chase things down...
