M-78 south
in Orion, 4 hours 40 minutes

28 ten-minute subs, started
as Orion was rising and continuing through dawn... the sky was
near perfect, except for the moisture...
visual was only about 5/10 and varied through the night. I think
the outer regions of this beautiful nebula will need at least
three times
this exposure, hopefully coming next week. Then, I will add the
north end for a mosaic, I hope
This image was calibrated
with darks and a warm pixel removal then
demosaiced and stacked using adaptive stacking in Nebulosity.
final curves and gradient removal in Photoshop.
Meade classic LX200 12 inch
at f6.8 with Hapmod Canon 350d.
guided by PHD, DSI Pro on the ED80 at f7.5 --- sky very good,
about 2 arc seconds, no winds, 66 degrees ...
